the dead ringer takes an enormous chunk out of the damage a flamethrower would normally do
not to mention you can jump around obstacles to pass the time until you can shoot
someone doesn't play spy enough

...this is assuming you have the spy-cicle right? If not I'd LOVE to see some replays of this working on someone with a brain.

A good pyro will mow you down, the fire shows where you are and you can't even go into combat while cloaked, the second you're uncloaked you die even faster

no, I was telling freeze that if you just avoid pyros you don't have to use the cicle
then he told me that pyros mow down spies in a couple seconds
then I told him it depends on how good the spy is

I respect the airblast comment immensely (yes, that's a hateful shoutout to all you phlog and backburner pyros who don't support your team), but airblasts don't do stuff if you don't run at a corner :u

here's a way to turn enemy airblasts into a BENEFIT for you:
don't run at a loving wall
run into an open spot, and the pyro will basically throw you away farther from him, allowing you to run and dodge behind a corner

I usually get %50/%50
half are good, using degreasers/flamethrowers, shotties, and axtinguishers
the other half are people who ruin their team, playing with phlogs/backburners, flare gun, and never using their melee

then beginners will grow up to think that there's no way to save their burning teammate, or that they'll magically be granted crits and health by the beginner god
