I hate people who make assumptions that that's what spies usually do. It's normally called a miss. Or they lag spike right before the stab. Happens to me sometimes. Or, maybe the enemy turns right before you stab. Also very possible. Now, you may HAVE seen a spy who does that. I am just trying to explain that not all times when spies miss, is it a random swing.

i sometimes do this due to instinct, but when i get caught i forget to pull out a revolver and instead try to stab them to death. yes, it is infact, random swinging.

That is random swinging. I usually pull out my revolver.

But, yeah, ignore my above post if you meant in combat, trying to stab you to death in hopes of a backstab. I thought you meant something way different.

and even if they succeed, it probably wasnt you that helped

and hurr durr obviously combat engi is different from combat spy

it helps, especially when you're on the wrong side of a wave of enemies
what's a better option: blindly slashing at them, or headshotting them methodically? it also helps if you're being chased

I just meant if you're going to headshot people
then go play sniper
no stuff it's there for that specific reason, but it has relatively no other usages

I dunno, being able to pull off a 102 damage headshot is pretty good, especially if you're in enemy territory.
