think of a nice balanced demoman weapon that uses explosives without -50% damage +50% firing speed type weapons

think of something unique

Here, I'll make it all pretty for you

The Demoman Unlock that actually is an explosive
Level 69 Grenade Launcher
+60% knockback
+30% blast radius

Grenades explode on impact
-25% clip size
-40% damage

Crowd control kinda weapon

I don't know the exact values, so the percents may need some tweaking

The Grenades explode on impact and 60% knockback is just OP.

+20% knockback
+30% blast radius
-25% clip size
-40% damage

also i think your crowd control weeeepon should be somewhat effective against medics

-hiting a person a medic is healing will do 75% damage to healee and 25% damage to medic

i like ranged weapons with the idea of the third degree

I'm fine with the stat changes, but that medic thing is just...no

Hey look, another -X% damage and -% clip size weapon
How original and new

Damnit people, have thou no creativity?

Tripwire stickies (cannot be detonated manually but explode on touch)
Pipebomb Shotgun (lots of small pipebombs that [collectively] deal ~30% more damage than a normal pipebomb)
etc

stuff this is easy guys, come on. :c

too bad both of those ideas are game-breaking and ruin balance

Trip-Stickies should be heavier and land closer to your feet, maybe like a landmine.

Well, gee, what would you put as a downside for a weapon that has extra knockback and a larger blast radius since apparently you are the most intelligent goddamn person on earth

I remember why I used to hate this game now. The sheer quantities of friends on this game is astonishing. I'm trying to loving trade stuff on a trading server and NOBODY wants to trade. Instead, they insist on fighting each other at the spawn gate and talk about how My Little Pony is the best thing ever and how they love rooster in their starfishs. Honestly, all I'm trying to do is get rid of some stuff and loving get some cool items so I can play the game with new items but no, I have to sift through all this toddler garbage.

Selling business casual, reclaimed metal, mann co. orange, idea tube, and some crates as bonus.

All I loving want is a soda popper, strange black box, and indubitably green

You literally have downs, don't you? He means instead of rolling around like a generic pipe it will pop on the ground.

But yes both weapon ideas are terrible.

it was just an idea, no need to tell me i fail at life because of it ;)

But you do!

Spend about 5 minutes at each trade server. If you generate no interest, leave and join a different trading server. Then, repeat until you are satisfied

King of page 1300

There are also various sites dedicated to trading, like tf2 warehouse and tf2 outpost

"Downside: Launched bombs shatter on surfaces" (Loch-n-Load stat)

"Neutral Value: Grenades explode on impact"

Here's my weapon idea (medic primary)

Der Bogen des Schützen (The Marksman's Bow)

Level 15 Crossbow

+ Arrows can headshot to deal extra damage, lowest is 100 ramping up  to 200 at max range
+ Medibow damage rampup with distance
+ Arrows heal teammates, but to a lesser extent
- Only 6 extra ammo can be carried
- 40% reload time (pre-medibow buff reload time)
- -10% damage penalty (?)

I think the first step to designing an unlock is asking yourself "What does this class need", or alternatively, "What does this class not have"

For example, we have the Heavy and his primaries

he has the stock Minigun and Iron Curtain reskin, the most versatile of the 4

the Brass Breasts and Natasha, both effective at area denial and in general, defense

and we have the Tomislav, which is I guess supposed to be an ambush or offense weapon, but it's not very good, it seems

Now, what does the Heavy not have?

Well,

A. A primary weapon that isn't a minigun or weapon that functions similar to it, perhaps a really big shotgun
B. An offensive minigun, the weapon in this concept art may provide inspiration for its appearance and such
C. A way to support his team in a way other than providing health for a single person. Bullet sponging, maybe?
