did we just ignore my post entirely

cause now there's something about an engineer unlock
it's a good idea, but i want building changes
e.g mini dispensers

How about a grenade launcher that only has 1 shot, and does less damage and has a less explosion radius, but when it explodes, it will explode into three more tiny grenades.

Ok maybe if you could stick them onto other people and have them dispense a certain amount of ammo and health before breaking that would be cool but right now that sounds useless

why would you want this? use the loch n load. instead of minigrenades adn a gimped radius you only get damage if you hit someone. except its powerful as hell

the dispenser is good at what it does because it lets teams rally at specific positions. it's sort of like a flag: if it's there, that means that the team with the dispenser is controlling the immediate area. if it's not, that means it's still being contested: even if there's a sentry up.

it's like the final nail in the coffin, you see

what purpose would a mini-dispenser serve? lower health and ammo generation but easier to set up in a pinch? the poor thing's gonna get raped within moments, or the engineer's gonna haul his ass out of there with all his friends and they're all gonna crowd around a toolbox for 30 minutes until their health regenerates like some sort of bizzare tribal ritual

and, during that time, the enemy has managed to capture every control point between there and the moon

Level 1 - Single rocket pod, similar to the level 3 rocket pod, fires one rocket at a time

Level 2 - 2 rocket pods in same place as miniguns on normal level 2. Faster rocket speed

Level 3 - Rocket pods now have 6 rockets in each pod.

what would be cool if that you could actually time when the grenades split up, and the grenades all fell in the same general direction that the first grenade was flying

each individual airburst-grenade could do about a half of the normal grenade's damage, and in total that would add up to 150% normal damage, which is enough to kill most weaker classes outright

It could also have a shorter detonation time, but with the mini grenades, travels farther than the default launcher. Would making it not release three mini grenades after it directly hits a player be good? As like a downside?

yeah, the grenade launcher simply doing less damage if you forget to airburst would be neat. i would imagine the airburst-grenades have their own individual timer that starts up when they're first spawned, but either way is cool

And this can't be done at the spawn in preperation why...?
It's like a medic preparing his ubercharge in startup. He can get it ready before any fighting happens.

Or when a teammate comes to the engineer asking for one.
It's like you become a dispenser sorta kinda. You put them close to the frontlines but not right at them, and when a teammate needs to heal/reload they come to it and go back.
