Author Topic: Classic Books being Banned  (Read 8690 times)

Republicans are mostly religious people and are known for wanting things banned
That's an awfully large tag to stick on an entire political party.

Most of these books I've read in school.

The funny thing is, the people who want these books banned are probably the same people who want their kids reading books instead of enjoying their childhood.

Where's this? Texas? Everythings bigger in Texas. Including religous brainwashing.

Over a year old, but still related.

What sucks even more is that every school in the United States gets its textbooks from Texas.

2. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien, 1954

5. Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, 1997-2007

Socially Offensive
... what the forget? how did this happen o.O

Brainwashing brainwashing brainwashing brainwashing.

The very concept of banning books for being "too political" is blatantly stupid for obvious reasons, and banning books for being "irreligious" is a practice I thought we had matured too much as a species to even consider. I stand corrected.

Socially Offensive

8. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank, 1947

What?

Who does this offend, the national socialists?

Beat me to it. I've read all the books on the "irreligious" part and I can say forget the police. Most of the books on "too political". What the forget is this? Medieval times?

I think we have every humane right to genocide these losers. For the progress of humanity.
