This one basically boils down to Garen and Cait losing it for their team. At one point cait had a whopping
four doran's blades, a decision he defended pretty firmly, despite only beating garen in damage dealt, and getting 2/3 the damage dealt of 8th place (a performance frankly not even blamable on doran's spam). Garen was harassed out of getting any minions and laned with kog'maw who got all the minions that got anywhere near. In light of this, he decided that the wisest item to rush was Warmog's. I have to give Garen props for a wonderful sense of humor though: he joked "I won that" after he took me on 1v1 at his turret and I managed to kill him and end with full HP. I said something along the lines of, "yeah you had me, I got lucky because of lag." Nice when people are having a good time for once.
I always say that Matchmaking Works, and warwick did make a few derp plays and teemo was downright suicidal (teemo's strategy was to not B until after an ignite alone could kill him - laning vs. kog'maw). He was also dumb enough to build AD teemo, which is... a little frustrating, but fortunately he did a "good" AD teemo build, which has lots of AS to obliviously exploit his poison (he ended up doing over 1/3 magic damage, not that he ever reads the graphs, or he would stop doing "AD" teemo). Fortunately karthus was able to bait them consistently, getting them into a teamfight where his passive is letting him pour on damage while they're trapped in the killzone by WW, urgot, and wukong ults.
I really like urgot because he has a "surprise" factor, much like anivia's passive. The less a champion is played, the more powerful it is simply by virtue of being unexpected, especially if it has a few clever tricks that can be pulled out slowly over the course of a match. Urgot is kind of a one-combo pony, but his ultimate can be used in a lot of cute ways to shuffle players around the battlefield. I ended up dominating pretty much the entire match because they really didn't understand a lot of urgot's fundamental strengths and weaknesses - in particular, they think he must be very fragile because he has huge range, when in fact he can operate as a pretty effective off-tank, especially against one melee diver. Their nasus was very skilled and really farmed up his Q well, but urgot's skills all combine to make him pretty much the best long-range AD in the game against nasus, by letting him wait out nasus' slow by pouring on damage regardless of the AS debuff, while tanking fairly effectively. Early in the game I invited garen to a brawl by standing alone in the open in front of him without backing off as he approached - I removed 60% of his maximum health and within 3 or 4 seconds had regenerated back to full HP. He can't pour on the sustained damage of a true AD carry because he has to devote more of his build to mana and cooldown than a typical ranged AD (plus some tanking, if you want versatility in your ult-casting choices). People tend to neglect his passive, which lets him cut 15% damage from anyone he wants, and move that debuff around to different bursting enemies as he sees fit; this not only helps him tank, but adds a powerful support element to him, making him one of the most hybrid champions in the game, and definitely the most hybrid AD specialist. This makes him a great choice for a team that has lopsided themselves towards magic damage and melee AD, neglecting ranged AD, support and tanking. Like say, for example, karthus, teemo (not knowing it's gonna be "AD"), warwick, and wukong.
