Author Topic: Kerbal Space Program, Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love THRUSTERRRSSSS  (Read 351227 times)

I made a very small jet just to try out the new space plane stuff, and for some reason the thing swerves off the run way every time I try to take off. Got any ideas why?

Hold S to keep the wheels pushed to the ground until it takes off.
It needs to be bigger anyway if it's that unstable. :o

Also, currently the decouplers aren't symmetrical on space planes.
I think I'll try to make the smallest space plane to get to the mun as possible.

Edit: Nevermind.

Pretty damn proud of myself right now, I didn't land on the mun but I managed to get a prototype mun rocket (There were two more stages that are not seen in the picture) to the mun's distance away from kerbin.
I'm getting closer to landing there, woo!

EDIT:

The crew of the second launch of the rocket managed to get into munar orbit! but there wasn't enough fuel on the their little probe to land, they began to float off into deep space.

RIP

Here am I floating in my tin can

Far above the moon
Planet Earth is blue

And there's nothing I can do.

I managed to get to the mun, shame the velocity was too great!

I've been trying to make a pod grabber to save some stranded Kerbals on the Mun.
...
So far I haven't even managed to get into orbit. Too top-heavy. Modifying design.

If you want I can give you my craft file for my most successful and basic rocket. :o
I use its base on everything. If I put a Mün lander on the top it gets me there with fuel to spare.

Is the paid version worth it over the demo?

Holy stuff, you're alive?

Yes.
Yes.
A million, billion times yes.

HOLY stuff LOL

That's the TRUE way to fly.
Ignore sissy roosterpits, all you need is a board and duct-tape.
