Engage it at 400m and it'll probably deploy at like <150m and then it won't take an hour

that's what I used to do

Is there a new update?

I believe they are programmed to open anywhere below 500 meters, after they are deployed, unless that was recently changed.

Has anyone made an awesome vanilla rover they'd like to share? Pics?

Made a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) aircraft, still working out the kinks, but I managed to land it next to the Monolith near KSC.

Where is the Monolith?
WHERE?

Where is the Monolith?
WHERE?
SPOILER ALERT
If you're going down the space-plane runway, turn about 45 degrees to your left, you'll see it on the ground.
There is also another one close-by in the mountains.

Downloaded a mod that added claws and moving parts.
Time to achieve the previously unachievable.

Few updates.
My mission to attempt to save the stranded pod on the moon was a failure, but here's what happened:

So close, yet so far, couldn't manage to get it in this basket.

Downloaded that mod, but the claws wouldn't really grab the pod, but I managed to snag it on the parachute and ran off with it!

Re-adjusted the pod into the claw's grip. Unfortunately because this has modded parts, warping past x3 made the pod pass through the collision of the claw, so I ended up just tossing the pod into space and canceling the mission. Oh well, I had fun...

xD Ridiculous, but hey, look at him chilling in a guitar strumming position!

This is alot harder than it looks!!

I might post some of my space adventures later.

>Buy KSP.
>Build a spaceplane that doesn't look like it'd fly very well.
>It flies well enough, land it on my first flight.
>Make two new planes, each paying more attention to the laws of aerodynamics and stuff like that.
>Neither of them are stable and are impossible to land safely, proceed to kill 40+ kerbals just trying to make it stable on takeoff.

Welp, that's what I get for trying to be smart!

xD Since I've bought KSP, I've yet to make a complex working spaceplane.
Well, besides my VTOL one. That's the only one.
