Oh well I always put my liquid rocket below the fuel tank.

CHALLENGE: Make a rocket that has a ton of fuel tanks but can still lift itself up.

Video of the new features of the ship builder! :D

So they were inspired by Spore's creator?

Here

I could even get higher if only I remembered that the liquid rockets had to have a fuel tank above them.(see top section)
I have less complicated ones that go to 50,000.

Still looking for ones that go above that, you loving bastards.

The only extra thing I had was four small boosters.

this one goes to 11 million @ ~3200m/s+ and uses all default parts (i think it's all default, unless i forgot something)
heads up though it tends to be unstable at launch.

I'd assume they were inspired by a lot of things.

Thanks, I'll test her out.

Blaman 2 is down, I repeat down.

I haven't been able to get this damn ship off the ground without it falling over or exploding.

when you first enter the launch pad, watch the map thing and whenever the crosshairs are centered tap T to set the SAS modules and give them a proper bearing, then max out the throttle and when ready (whenever the ship is pointing straight up/crosshairs are centered again) press space and launch.

edit: I should really add some support stilts to it for launch. :P

I love you.

I got up to about 950,000 M above this planet.
I think I won.
Where are my screenshots stored so I can proove this claim?

SAS is for chumps. Just built a spin stabilized rocket with a rather awesome second stage.

Apparently, if done correctly, you can achieve orbit in this game. The forum has some info on this.
