Is there a way to get rid of the rocket sound? it is really annoying, I have looked at the sound folder and deleted ones I expected to be the one but it the sound still happens... Help?

Mute the game with Window's volume mixer?
If you don't have Windows 7 (or Vista I think has it too) just mute your sound.

Why would you want to do that? The sounds of rockets is beautiful.

Also, I've been testing the Blaman 2 and my other rockets, I am currently storing some of their data in a notepad file. :D
yeah no.

Look when I posted this. And since then, I've gotten much much much farther

Blaman beat you. I'm over half of what you got in less then half of the time. :P

Edit: Proofs-

Son of a bitch, Windows 7 snipping tool sucks. That says 17:40 under the distance.

I achieved a semi-stable orbit with "The Altitude Mk 5" (Took 5 versions to get it just right)
I orbited 3 times around the earth before re-entering the atmostphere and crashing. I would get farther then closer, kinda like pluto, but that time I got too close. :c
I shall post pics of the rocket I used later...

I totally stole the top of Blaman's ship and made my own version. Doesn't go as high, but it's a major improvement over my other Oasis rockets.

The first orbital mission via the Blaman 2 launch vehicle was a complete success.
We've just received the first batch of photos from the orbiter.

T: 14:40
The orbiter shortly after launch and trajectory correction. The beginning of the orbiters apogee.

T: 15:54
A shot soon before the sun sets.

T: 22:13
The sun has set, and the orbiter continues to approach it's apogee.

T: 26:51
Just after sunrise.

T: 29:52
The orbiter reaches it's apogee and begins to free fall towards it's perigee

T: 53:03
A shot soon before the second sunset. And now the process starts all over again

And there you have it folks. A stable orbit. I think I'll leave it on overnight and post the results.
Also I dumped the rockets after the first successful trip around the planet.

I would keep the rockets to give yourself a boost every now-and-then to increase your orbit.

I'm not sure they are needed. I just confirmed an apogee of 223000m, the exact same as it was last orbit.
So far I'm convinced it's perfectly stable.
Edit: just read a perigee of exactly 95336m, that's the first accurate reading I've got for it. We're on the 3rd orbit.
Edit2: turns out the exact apogee is 223318m
Edit3: two complete orbits later and the exact apogee is 223325m, which is pretty much perfect.
Edit4: two complete orbits after that and the exact perigee is 95347m, again pretty much perfect.

Furthest i've gotten so far.

After (about) 12 hours, the game will crash. It depends from computer to computer, but you'll eventually run out of memory and get some sort of "heap slot" (I think that's what it is?) error or something of the sorts.

I went 84001 with just a decoupler, 2 huge fuel tanks and 1 liquid engine cluster.

I think I'm going to see how large of a payload I can get into orbit.
Also going to try and make it to orbit, circle the planet once, and then land the craft back at the space center. I think I can do it, it's just a matter of bringing enough fuel up there. :S
