ive made a rocket that's really good for launching things into deep space but not so much in orbit

it reaches mach 3 when exiting kebin

ive launched satellites like this one i made into space using it

who here goes to the Mun by straight injection
I do it all the time it takes too much fuel and time to get in an orbit then inject

Care to tell us what that means? :/

you don't circularize before making the oberth burn. the oberth burn is the burn at the periapsis of your "orbit" ( which doesn't actually reach all around kerbin yet ) to get the most efficient burn. if you launch at the right time, you can cut something like 20% of your dV off.

i've tried getting to other solar bodies but to no avail

maybe i should try landing on something in the loving kerbin system first

launch directly to the moon from the launch pad and not go in a circular orbit
and no I don't meant shoot straight up. do a gravity turn straight to the moon. never failed the maneuver. I always make it, its like fool proof. launch just before the moon comes over the horizon. time it so that when the moon is at the horizon youre at like 40-70 km. then when it shows up at the horizon burn straight toward the middle of the navball (the part in between blue and brown). keep burning until intercept. magic

I did it once
landed on the dark side tho so that's why I orbit then inject so I can pick my landing spot

In the old career mode with just science objectives, what's a good way to get stufftons of science earlier on before you land on the Mun.

the KSC has a lot of places to get Science, as well as sending one way rockets to the poles and stuff and getting lots of experiments.

I feel like the beginning of career mode is really tedious and annoying. there is nothing different from each time you start. its so boring by the time you get anywhere youd have uninstalled the game

if this is recognizable at all then i did good

that's a loving penguin

Yeah, until you get the actual equipment to do fun stuff, both career modes are just a bunch of stuffty tasks.
