I loving MADE A PLANE THAT GOES SO stuffTING FAST IT loving EXPLODES WHEN IT REACHES 1,000 M/S
what's its max speed without exploding

what's its max speed without exploding
a little bit above 1,000 m/s
i bet if i went higher it wouldnt explode

FOUND OUT THE OLD ONE ONLY WENT 950 M/S BUT YOU CAN SEE HERE THIS NEW ONE PEAKED AT 1,030 M/S

SPEEEEED

OOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUGGGGHHHH

('I BREAK MIRRORS WITH MY FACE IN THE UNITED STATES' PLAYING VIOLENTLY)

PUT SOME RAPERS ON THAT BITCH AND SEND IT TO SPACE

ADD MORE THRUSTERS
MAKE IT GO SO FAST THE GAME CAN'T DO ANYTHING BUT LET IT FLY ]

MACH 27

i had a series of 1,600 m/s high altitude interceptors in 0.90 with FAR

im not going to try rebuilding them for obvious reasons (see: HEAT-BASED FRICTION)

MORE RAMJET INTAKES is the new MORE THRUSTERS

MACH 27
I ACTUALLY HAD A ROCKET CONFIGURATION THAT WENT LIKE MACH 20SOMETHING BUT NOW IT DOESNT WORK

When starting on new career mode, what's the best way to get science quickly?
I'd just like to get enough to be able to build a variety of things, like planes, rockets and maaaybe rovers.

Also, with the contracts, there are some you get where tourists ask you to take them somewhere.
But for the instructions it just says they want a sub-orbital flight.
Does this mean I have to go a set distance, or just remain sub-orbital, or go to a specific location on Kerbin? And what qualifies as a flight? If I launch them 6000 feet in the air, then land them 100 feet from the launchpad will that still count?

Maximum speed at sea level is close to about 1,600 m/s.

You can do that over most of kerbin, do a couple hops to like, the Desert and Poles to gather lots of science, and recover the vehicle for easy returning.

As long as the orbit is sub-orbital for any amount of non-physics timewarp iirc, it'll count. But I wouldn't be surprised if you don't need to timewarp at all. Your situation should work.

I see people create really cool things in this and I wonder how people do it.

I swear, this is one of the only games that never ceases to amaze me.
