If you could see the earth illuminated when you were in a place as dark as night, it would look to you more splendid than the moon.

— Galileo Galilei

i just made it to 125000 meters

yesss

I remember when just getting out of the atmosphere was a challenge.
Now I have trouble getting to the moon without the risk of flying out of Earth's orbit.

Double post half bump...

I MADE IT TO THE MOON HORY forget!
This was my second try where I actually had a chance without someone/something interrupting me irl.
The first time I ran out of fuel and crashed into the Mun.

My ship.
-snip-
Am I first to land on moon in entire Blockland Forum? :O

The link provided takes me to the download page for 0.11.1. What am I missing?

i modified the srb to have 5000 thrust and 1 fuel consumption
also modded the chute to have ten times the drag
forget yeah

I love you.
Now, how to get up there...

Oh, that's how.
I seem to have glitched; by using a large game-breakingly powerful thruster I am now about 40000M out into space travelling about 10000m/s and slowing. I just wanted to make it to the moon, god dammit.

>not even making it to 20000
>lol what am i doing

I think G Force should be able to kill some of the astronauts.
Like, you suddenly start 10 rockets at once on full throttle and it shakes all/1 or 2 of the kerbals to death.
Once dead the ship would just keep going and you won't be able to control it.

Good idea, but don't tell us that.
