You'll need control surfaces for that to work.

I wish ASAS would stay on when you EVA. All I want to do is get out of my plane and climb around on latters while in the air. :C

FINALLY
EEEEEHEHEEEE

I wish ASAS would stay on when you EVA. All I want to do is get out of my plane and climb around on latters while in the air. :C
If you're still in the atmosphere it's like impossible,
But you CAN connect the ladders around the ship, kinda.

what button do I push to EVA

alt+f4 or something.

You hover over the Kerbals on the bottom right and click EVA.
It took me three seconds to figure out guys, come on. :u

You can also click on the crew hatch on the side of the command module.

I can never seem to get that to work perfectly.

I am so glad I checked the thread today. Space walks here I come. :D

First one to make it with vanilla parts gets a cookie.

1: Created a rocket composed of 3 large fuel tanks surrounded by like 6 layers of 8 sets of side liquid rockets and a giant rocket at the bottom. Attached stand pieces to the bottom layer of liquid rockets.
2: Begin flight. Parts blow up as expected, but it does make some height.
3: Once the immediately fuel ran out, I detached the capsule from the rest and launched the 3 large parachutes.
4: I EVA'd my crewman to test his endurance during the fall.
5: As we began to descend (after losing upward momentum), we knocked the SAS portion I ejected but he held firm.
6: As I look down, I realize we are going to pass the larger tank part extremely close.
7: It passes JUST close enough to ONLY knock my crewman. It looked and SOUNDED so bad. He fell off, of course.
8: As I watch his decent, I frantically try to make him move. He literally appears unconscious from being knocked in the head.
9: Funeral Services.
