what are some rly good mods
what do you find your experience lacking in, parts, gameplay, overall aesthetics, what
answer me, peasant

answer me, peasant
well I don't really feel like I'm lacking anything
I downloaded some of the mods you guys suggested though, and MechJeb
but I haven't really gotten a chance to use many of them yet

if there's anything else that could make navigating space easier that would be nice

Kerbal engineer redux; precisenode; launch window planner; mechjeb again is up to you, but you wouldn't go play a single player first person shooter campaign and then have an AI play the whole way through, the idea is stupid.

I find Mechjeb to be very helpful with those damn ion probes and their billion year burn times.

I have no idea how to move this E-Class onto the VAB :(

lol good luck with that.

god dammit jubel
did you hack gravity

no but lots of infinite fuel and unbreakable joints (which is bullstuff btw) were used

I am almost 100% sure that getting that thing onto the VAB using normal game means is impossible, since the asteroid weighs over 3000 tons, causing all joints to immediately snap once any force is applied to them to move the thing (including half of the parachute drones helping it land).

To have a rocket that can take it off using normal game means, and invincible joints, you would need something that could take off from jool about 4 times over.

I'm not that smart.

I should also add, that once you get to the point of being able to take off of Jool.
Adding more fuel adds maybe a few metres/second D/V at best even with Asparagus staging.

To make a big enough rocket, adding more fuel adds too much mass, such that that you end up losing D/V.

To make a rocket without any cheats that can lift an E-Class is pretty much impossible.

Yeah I know, I was kidding.

I used to use Mechjeb to fly all of my flights, but I since have abandoned that crutch and fly all of my rockets. I don't think I'll ever understand interplanetary windows though, so could anybody explain them and how can I tell when a planet is inside of its "window"?

An Interplanetary Window is just when another planet is in the perfect position to just pull an easy transfer to it. It helps save quite a bit of fuel, and you spend a lot less time orbiting the sun.

Each planet has a different window, there are a bunch of calculators out there that give a whole whack of angles and stuff.

However, knowing when each window is isn't nessecary to playing the game, I usually dont do perfect interplanetary transfers unless everything coincidentally in place when I take off. Otherwise, I just spend a lot more time surfing around the sun.
