What if people don't want your dumb add-on?

It's like rape, you're shoving your snake, up someone's starfish, who does not want some snake shoved up there. We do not want your stuffty add-on. If someone wants it, let them download it at their own will.

Why are you guys complaining about this? It's not like there's any other servers requiring add-ons in order to be played, and besides, if you don't like it then just leave.
But to be fair, forcing players into a game of Russian roulette is quite stupid. Immediatly kicking players as the join with a message containing the donwload link to the add-on would be much better, and would also nullify the need for in-game advertisements.

I'm on the fence about failing this. From the looks of it it's just been used to forget with people via Eval. I have yet to see something useful done with it.

Other servers only kick because the mod that is needed is dependent for the server, in that the mod is not optional and without it the player won't be able to engage properly or the game will brake. In this case, Dren just wants you to have it because he said so.

He was probably joking about the advertisments, which I have turned off. (the yellow one I'm still working on though)

The only shread of truth left in the op is that my one server will kick someone who doesn't have the add-on once in a while.
Which honestly should not be that big of a deal, and might even change soon.

If you read the whole topic, he clearly stated that the add-on will have a use later on. He's still experimenting with it, testing the functions to see if there are any issues.

It's not our task to police which add-ons he requires you to use on his server. It's not like he forces you to join or anything similar.

That's even more of a reason for me to take it off RTB then. RTB already has GUI downloading?
