Daniel Matros (zh1nt0) was asked a question about BF3's command rose over twitter yesterday. The fan, FatalEASTer asked if the highly anticipated command tool would be in the Battlefield 3 beta, to which Matros said no. The command rose will be in the full game which is set for launch on October 25, 2011 in America.

Don't know what the command rose is? It's a great tool from BF2 that quickly allowed players to command spot enemies, request supplies, thank friendlies, and coordinate their squads. No one knows how different the command rose in Battlefield 3 will be though.

will there be aircraft in the beta?

will there be aircraft in the beta?
Most likely. Unconfirmed, though.

will there be aircraft in the beta?
its running on the caspian border i think, so if there were aircraft there i would assume.

Currently #battlelog supports launching #BF3 with IE8+, Firefox 4+ and Chrome. Safari and Opera on Windows may work fine, but no guarantees.

Wrap up of all the news so far:

DICE: it takes 100 hours to complete a kit and unlock everything — DICE explains that it’ll take 100 hours to unlock every weapon, attachment and feature for each kit.

Xbox 360 version ships on two discs — the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3, and possibly the PC version as well, will ship on two DVDs, most likely one DVD for singleplayer and one for multiplayer.

No mounted machine guns in Battlefield 3 — the tried and tested mounted MGs in past Battlefield games are replaced with the new bipod feature.

Battlefield 3 has 1.25 million pre-orders — EA reveals that Battlefield 3 pre-orders have topped 1.25 million units.

List of Battlefield 3 pre-order deals — a run down of the current pre-order deals available in the United States.

Battlefield 3 runs at just under 720p on consoles — Battlefield 3 will run at “704p” on consoles, with two 8px black bars at the top and bottom.

Battlelog will stay free — EA clarifies that they have no intentions of charging players to use Battlelog.

This is going to be awesome.

If only origins was never conceived, I would be playing BF3 for an eternity.

do i gotta pay to get into the beta?

What about AT or AA?

What about AT or AA?
AA and AT stuff will stay, just not the mounted machine guns. Since mounted machine guns weren't too useful in BC2, and now we're getting bi pods it makes them even more useless.
