Not inaccurate, just reduce the turn rate so it's at least possible to consistently dodge them without flares. Even if your missiles are being dodged, every time you fire one the other jet has to drop whatever they're doing and evade. You could very well have just saved some unit on the ground from being strafed with rockets, or an allied plane from being gunned down.
If not that, I'd just like some kind of marker that shows where you are being locked on to from. Like a little circle over the targeting unit or a directional indicator of some sort. Maybe the missile could have a marker on it too so you can at least see where the hell it is.
