Okay I am currently trying to unlock the Recon service star.
Then I've unlocked every weapon in the game...

join a hardcore metro 24/7 server, aim sniper rifle at stairway, pull trigger any time someone pops their head up.

Lol Everyone likes the L96 a lot but personally, I prefer the M40A5 because it's a lot faster at pulling the bolt to reload the chamber and it's somewhat easier to aim with. It does, however, have a faster bullet drop than the L96 but not by much.

i haven't unlocked it yet so i wouldn't know if it's better or not

i don't use recon a lot but i'm trying to have it catch up with everything else

Yeah i guess that's why most people use the L96 is because they unlock it earlier.

actually it took me some time to unlock it, spot assists are hard to get when i kill everyone i "spot"

also for some reason my next level up for recon unlocks the sks, but i already have it...

Using it way wrong. It's best used as a battle rifle. Give it a RDS, Holo, or 4x scope, and a foregrip. A suppressor is optional.

There are some guns not even worth calling sniper rifles. The SKS was meant to act as an assault like the Garand anyway even though it doesn't exactly meet that criteria. Though it is an interesting gun to have and it isn't seen much in other games.
