can anyone give me some advice on getting to a helicopter in multiplayer?
I'd really like to fly outside of co-op, but almost every time, someone beats me to it

the helicopter pilot's goal is to allow the gunner to get kills
sure you have rockets but that's more of a "this tank thinks he can take me time to ruin his bloody day" thing

especially when you don't even have weapons

but it's hard to do that when you can't get the chance to fly

also there's this stuffass pilot flying around in a frogfoot and he tries his very best to destroy the A-10 before anyone can get in it
it's annoying and even though I hate him for it I do have to admit that he is a very good pilot

I'm playing on an all-conquest/caspian border server
and the round that just ended
I earned a total of 8,000 points, ~2,100 for MBT, and ~1,900 for Attack Helicopter
it was a fun round, although very frustrating when a couple of guys in the same squad (their names were also both followed by "| DC") kept standing at the helicopter spawn until it spawned :I

also 8,000 points may not be very good, and 13:6 KD ratio might not either, but for me that is quite an achievement
