I would use the AK74m more because it has legit no recoil but I've already gotten pro with killing people long range with the M416.

the M416 is probably better for surprise close quarters situations then the AK, but I don't really use the AK often because I like other guns better

ak74 sucks at close quarters but if you aim right kills just as good as any hipfire AR
