Author Topic: You know what sucks about living in the middle of nowhere? (Read 3582 times)

A few things:

I get extremely Paranoid from reading/hearing about scary stories and things. Scary or abnormal things fascinate me too. Such as Sasquatches (especially), Zombies, animals breaking into my house, theives, and demons/ghosts.
I keep my window open because my room is the warmest place in the house. Normally the dogs nearby bark alot. Which is good. But when they suddenly start barking and then stop, well. I tend to get a little scared. Even more when I never hear them.
Deer. They're loving everywhere. I bet if I shot a bullet in any direction, I'd kill 10 or so. However, at night, trees have abnormally loud sticks. And when they break, I freak out. How do I know it's a deer? A really big flashlight, and another pair of testicles.
When everything is quiet. No sounds. Not even crickets chirping. I hate it.
Outside my bedroom, everything is a dark as forget because of odd light placement.
Even if my door is wide open, nothing outside my room is lit.
Windstorms and tall trees do not mix well on a well moonlit night.
It's the loving forest, it might not be a deer.

I want to live in town, where there is a constant hum of traffic and engine brakes from dumb as stuff semi drivers, and the police chasing them.

I used to live next to the freeway.

I probably got like 10 Minutes of sleep during the 3 Years we lived there.

This city sucks
NEVER COME TO LOWELL Huge party next door. They ALREADY broke my window within 5 loving MINUTES! Drunks everywhere, drugs all over the porch, little kids ringing everybody's doorbells and then ditching. You'd hate the city. Move to a small, peaceful town like Kennybunk Maine or Derry NH or Pelham NH, then your life will be complete.

I live an hour away from a city of about 15,000+ people.

I do live 2 miles away from a village 200 - 300 people and a K-9 school (as of last year) with 40ish people.

I would love to live there.

I live in north dakota in a town with less than 50 people, my back yard is an acre, behind that is a million feilds that just go on, with grass so high i could walk through it and not be seen, i can always hear coyotes, and umm yeah not much else but it really isn't scary cause north dakota has like a damn low crime rate, and not really an killing animals
