I'm loving Oblivion more and more as I play it. I joined the Dark Brotherhood :D

I also joined the Thieves Guild, which says no killing people, but the Dark Brotherhood is all about killing people. Ha, is it possible to stay in both guilds?

You only get introuble with the Thieves guild when you kill someone while on a quest for them.

I love the Dark Brotherhood <3 Shadowmere.

Ya it's great! It just makes me that much more excited about Skyrim, which is a good thing, because I'm assuming they're fairly similar games as in free roam RPG.

I'm still really mad that I can't play oblivion.
I have no idea why, but when I try to play it I get like 2 fps.
I've deleted every single file associated with oblivion from my computer and reinstalled and still i am unable to play.
I don't get it because I have no problems playing any other game. I used to be able to play this game with all the best graphics mods and stuff and now even on the lowest possible settings, which look absolutely ghastly, I get completely unplayable frame rates.
I can play Fallout 3 just fine, and that's the same engine. I'm just loving baffled by this problem.

Also, if you use Xfire, it can have odd effects on games. I have Mass Effect 1, and had Xfire running with it. It made the game almost unbearable to play, even though my computer could easily handle it maxed out.

I don't use xfire, but I have tried those mods and they didn't do much of anything, they made it playable except for in combat, when you would need it most.

If I remember correctly this stuff didn't happen until I reformatted my computer months ago. It's definitely not that my hardware is incapable of running it because it's the same hardware as when it worked. And if anything I have more hard drive space now than then.
Oblivion is the only game that gives me any trouble.

Todd Howard at QuakeCon refused to heed the cries of "KILL THEM" from the crowd whenever he chanced upon an NPC.
So no, no information that I know of has been released on crime and punishment. Oblivion's worked out great though.

not much, but I hear that each town will have a different punishment system varrying from regular jails, to shivering isles jails.

That jails in shivering isles were a bitch if you don't use fast travel.
Once you got out you were stranded on that lower peninsula.

I hope they remove fast travel, the point of the game is exploration and adventuring

They won't remove it, but you don't have to use it and if you're on the computer you can disable it.

If they add a hardcore mode, they should make it so that it doesn't allow fast travelling.
