Wow. I never realized how UGLY Morrowind is, and I've played it quite a bit.
You think Morrowind is ugly? I always thought that it had a sort of beautiful uniqueness and style to it. Sure the graphics aren't high-end, considering now anything they might have used or made is outdated, but still. A high level of work and caring went into it, and I think that really shines through, even if the suspension of disbelief is broken when your character clips through a banner or sees the occasional floating plant or when you realize every third or fourth person of a race looks exactly the same. That's only major problem I had cosmetic wise: the characters. Oblivion changed that, though, by making their every feature in your power to control. And it did offer a much higher notch and more detailed appearance, but everything seemed so stale and repeated after a sort while. Except, ironically, the character apperances.
I do agree, though, Skyrim seems to have a very realistic look to it and, from what I've seen, that uniqueness and flare that Morrowind has is brought back and used to the fullest extent. 'Makes the experience all the more better. c:
