THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

I never said they were only meant to be fun for me, but my point is that allowing people to hop around between difficulties is a mess IMO.

It's like how you could stop playing Hardcore Mode in Fallout: NV any time you wanted, but you couldn't go back to Hardcore Mode once you had turned it off. Also how does that make me a classiccigarette Extrude?
You can go back to hardcore mode when you have it turned off.

I still don't get why it matters to you at all. If you don't want to jump around, don't but there are lots of other people who do.

So just use your original sword. Not that hard. If you're too stubborn to roleplay, don't.

You try using your original sword on the more harder beasts along the end of the game.

Oblivion is not a game anyone can just simply role play in.

Yeah until your level gets higher and then you become a super human that can run faster than a horse, jump on top of buildings, have the strength of 20 men and become the ultimate ass kicker in all of Cyrodiil.

For added fun I can jump off tall buildings/towers and live. I should send you guys my gamesave, I haven't completely finished it yet but my character is incredibly strong.

Yes, anyone can. Stop being a moron.

I give up, you're way too dense.

Proog, how does changing difficulty make it a mess? If you never touch it, how does it affect you?

Why does roleplaying have to be humanly possible?

Roleplaying can be catered differently according to the game.

Because in Oblivion no matter what you do you will eventually become a super human demigod.

So? You don't have to run everywhere, or jump so often. You can not pick up the armor of off corpses. You can act like a person. You're clearly too stupid to do that, though, so I'm done arguing.

EDIT: Lol, typo.

That's the thing, if you don't run everywhere you can't explore.

I don't even jump often either, I only jump if I can't reach a specific spot.

People will loot corpses in real life, why would I not want to loot a corpse?

The people in Cyrodiil don't act like normal people, why should I? Have you heard their tacky dialogue and actions, it feels fake.

You're wrong.

So what?

Roleplaying in Oblivion doesn't have to mean you stay a beggar your whole life. Roleplaying can just mean discipline yourself to not use fast travel or do stuff that shouldn't make sense, even in the world of Tamriel.

If people want to play this way, they may and it is very possible.

I lied, I'm not giving up.
1. Walk.
2. Fine. I thought of a better solution. Just jump to places a human could.
3. It's dishonorable. If you're an assassin or a murderer, go ahead. If you're a knight, don't. It's all about staying in character.
4. Act like a Cyrodiilian.

In Skyrim, I'm going to ditch fast travel for my first playthrough.

You level up much faster while travelling, as well as picking up extra quests, loot, and general stuff that help.
Also I loot bandits as a form of karma so it's totally legit ok.

I'd rather not spend an hour going from cloud ruler to anvil
