THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

Yes, but were not really sure how one comes to be a dragon born.
I'm pretty sure it's bloodline based. Considering all the Septims were Dragon Born

wtf happened i went to work and this jumped 10 pages
last thing i remember was us talking about roleplaying

huge arguments about Oblivion's roleplaying capabilities. In which both sides were pretty stubborn.

hm okay. well anyways, SKYRIM AND STUFF OOOH YEAAH COOL

Would that mean you're a descendant of the Septims? If so, it gets creepy with Mer, and more so with Beastfolk.

no, there were other Dragonborn but the septims were the last surviving line

But they died, so if they were the last line, wouldn't the Dragonborn have ended with Martin?

"In the Elder Scrolls universe, the term Dragonborn is used to refer to the descendants of Emperor Tiber Septim, founder of the Septim Dynasty of Tamriel. Most of past Dragonborn have been of the Imperial race; however, Dragonborn can be of any race, as the abilities and title are given by the Nine Divines to favoured subjects."

From the Elder Scrolls Wikia.

Key words are the last part.

Lol.
Reading that I want to make an Imperial the first time through.

Fast travel, in my opinion, is really just there to give a big "forget YOU" to all the people that put so much effort into constructing the entire game world, now I think about it. I think I'll play through Oblivion without fast travel.

It's there to make the game appeal to a wider audience. People always feel so strongly about fast travel and I don't get why. It's something that is there if you want it, but you never have to use it.

Its harder than it seems.
I remember when I first found out that there was a fast travel option, I was so mad because It takes forever to go from place to place.

That being said, Im not going to use fast travel my first 3 playthroughs of Skyrim.

Also, Im surprised, this is the biggest thread about the Elder Scrolls. I know there are other threads for Oblivion and Skyrim but the Oblivion thread is only on page 60 something, and the other Skyrim thread is at 30.
I wonder why this thread made it :o
Im proud =D

pointless bickering between people over opinions partly

and partly because there was a spike in news from quakecon that was posted here.
