Farming.

Farming.
>farm 16 plump helmets a harvest
>farm them every season
>never have an empty barrel
>never brew anything because no barrel
>everyone dies
>the end

losing is fun!

loving cat ran away even though it was tied up... srsly cat, wtf.

tis why you organize your food stockpiles better. set the min/max number of barrels on separate alcohol and food stockpiles, then produce many more barrels then the cap on either of those stockpiles. Expand the cap/size of the plant stockpile according to supply to avoid crops rotting away and miasma-ing the stuff out of your farmers.
Also in case of emergency where you don't have enough barrels to meet brewing needs, simply set the barrel cap of the food stockpile where all of the crops are being dropped to 0. all the barrels that were there before will remain, but no more will be added. thus redirecting barrel flow to your brewery.

I'll give you some motivation. I'll slowly pull out all of your teeth if you don't play  :cookieMonster:

Adventure Mode is confusing.
All I really do is ask random people about services and kill people for them, and I usually die on the job.
Does anyone have any tips on getting rewards for killing instead of just praise, and other stuff?
Also can summarize how to play fortress mode decently?

Like most people say, Dwarf Fortress is a very difficult and advance game. You cannot just 'summarize' how to play it decently, you learn from your mistakes and experiences, or the mistakes and experiences of others.
While I cannot help you with Adventure Mode, my only suggestion for Fortress mode is to play the game. Learn the basics, then expand. You'll learn many things on the way there, and what you are confused about can easily be found on the Dwarf Fortress forums, Youtube, and most importantly the Dwarf Fortress wiki. I assume you could even do the same with Adventure mode.

The forget is legends mode?

He spawned like that. He's still in the caverns and doesn't have a way into my fort, but somehow he's got a ridiculous number of scars.
I took those screen shots seconds after he spawned.

Edit:
I've found a new love for 3 layer deep pits with dozens of war animals at the bottom of them.
Just committed goblin and ogre genocide.
It's perfect. The drop stuns the victim, along with breaking half of their body so they can hardly fight back, then the dogs and leopards and jaguars come along and chew on them until they die.

You don't need to unlock it. All legends mode is is a list of all of the events and historical figures in the worlds history.
he's got a ridiculous number of scars.
That means he's easy to kill. The scars mean he can be hit.
