Yes, I think.
Ok, thanks.

Also, just killed my first enemy!

I killed my first enemy the dwarfish way, I caused a cave in under it.

How to install texture packs like a pro
1. Find a texture pack you want.
2. put the png in data/art
3. go to data/init
4. click the init text file
5. change the font for both versions (windowed and full-screen) to the one you want.

Quickninja: This might break saves that use other texture packs (or the default curses font) before it.

PROTIP: Press L and move the x over the thing to see what it is.

What gamemode are you playing, Adventure or Fortress?

adventure

adventure
There is a help section that has all the keys, but the basics are:
Arrow keys for movement (or number keys)
G to pick up items
Shift+A to attack a enemy
A to view recent occurrences
L to look around
K to talk to people

I laughed pretty hard about the mass ale shortage Self Delete.

I've got a story:

So I was playing adventure mode and had made it pretty far. I had killed various beasts and monsters and had done a few special quests. I had expanded my party size to about 20. One day, I was traveling with my band of warriors and nightfall came. Any Dwarf Fortress player knows that you should sleep at nighttime, so we did. Well, we were ambushed. In the middle of the night I woke up to swarms of k's (kobolds) all around my camp. After the first turn in the battle, I had to scroll through about five pages of, "X was shot in X, it hit an artery, X died." So immediately, I stood up, but the problem was, I was slightly fatigued and already riddled with arrows. As soon as I got up, I was knocked back down. At this point, all of my warriors were dead and I was surrounded by 10 kobolds. I couldn't get up and about every body part in the game (a lot) was bleeding, broken, severed off, or otherwise critically injured. I died that day.

DORF FORTRES: LOOSING IS FUN  !

Greatnote: After testing some ale, I found out it can explode if set on fire.
