Author Topic: Dwarf Fortress Megathread! - Necro'd enough to count as a vampire  (Read 139108 times)

Yeah. Just don't try it on a dwarven caravan.
Obviously. I just want to piss the elves off enough for them to come over to my fortress just to get torn apart by my army of gigantic war pandas, legendary squads of dwarfs, and lava landmines.

How do I put stuff on dwarves in squads? I want to put training weapons on them.

I suddenly have the urge to try and break into your fortress. To bad that is impossible as of now.

EDIT: I also had no idea that your stats could go to superhuman.

desert titan
made of snow

hahaha

I can't seem to get a fortress going for longer than a couple in game months.
Something always pisses me off and makes me want to abandon to fortress.

Like in adventure mode? I dunno man, the lava landmines are tough to get past.
I pump magma from below the ground and stop it from going up via doors, and hook the doors up to pressure plates. It doesn't slowly bubble out either, rather it shoots up about ~3 Z-levels and burns the stuff out of everybody.

Uzolvathez is the best fortress name ever.

Oiled Virgins strike the earth!

Did you come up with the idea yourself? That seems pretty ingenious.

The most complex trap I ever made was a lever that used pumps to pull water up 3 z-levels, then another opened a floodgate that filled up a (raised) bridge-box which drowned enemies. You can then pull another lever that opens it up and flushes them down a 10 z-level drop onto pointy spikes, where the water is then pumped off the map.

The most complex trap I ever build was a mine that you went down into but had no way out.

My poor lead miner. :panda:

couldn't you have him dig his way up?

Nah, saw the idea in a topic on the DF forums. Thought I'd try to replicate it and it worked beautifully.

Help i cant find any metals other than gold (and adementine but i'm scared to dig any further into it). I need weapons and armor dammit!

Get the forget out of my fort, camel!
