it's the same goddamn "KILL THEM national socialist COMMIE TERRISTS" as the last few modern games
and it's all just a straight line through the level. no side routes, no secrets, nothing that actually puts the player in control. the only freedom you get is "SHOULD I SHOOT ENEMY WITH THIS GUN BEFORE MY OFFICER SPENDS 30 SECONDS OPENING AN UNLOCKED DOOR IN A SCRIPTED SEQUENCE OR SHOULD I SHOOT ENEMY WITH THIS GUN BEFORE MY OFFICER SPENDS 30 SECONDS OPENING AN UNLOCKED DOOR IN A SCRIPTED SEQUENCE?"
being linear is not a problem in games if they are fun. sometimes the problem with unlinear games is that you go off in a different direction and can't find stuff because the squad leader is already at where you were supposed to be going. face it, the game is made for fun, not to pander to you because you're too much of a whiny bitch to suck it up and not buy the game.

"the game with the better graphics wins. there fanboy war ended."
This comment on Youtube made me want me to punch the guy in the face.

I wanted World at War 2... aw well. OFF TO SPECIAL OPS!!! :D

Well to be fair, there's been 4 world war games and two (three as of november) modern games.

I'm not trying to bash CoD here, but what is exactly so different in this game?

All I see is different weapons and maps.  Which may sound like a lot but the feel is still the same as Mw2.

The feel is SUPPOSED to be like the game before it, otherwise its too different to be called a sequel. Battlefield 3 feels like Bad Company 2. Gears 3 felt like Gears 2. The list goes on and on, but it stops short for idiots like you.

Actually battlefield 3 is not part of the battlefield BC series

Continued storyline, new weapon levels in MP, new killstreaks, (and ways of unlocking them,) new game modes, ect.

so no large differences

well it's a sequel. What do you expect?

Being a sequel doesn't mean that it has to be almost the same thing. I bet they recycled a bunch of code from previous Call of Duty games.

Also, they need to do World War I, maybe as an expansion?

Description of said WWI DLC:
-Trench warfare
- 2-3 maps, all based in the french countryside
-Key points in opposite trenches, such as machine guns, etc
-3 killstreaks (Artillery, Agent Orange, and plane strafe, not in that order)
-only a few weapons, such as the 1914 lee enfield, Kar98k or mauser carbine, a few pistols
- No mans land would be dangerous as hell to cross
- new trench game mode where the goal is to take over the enemie's line
- 3 different lines of trenches with bunkers, outfitted with bunkers
- Would cost roughly 5 dollars.

I would play the forget out of this. Anyone else like the idea?
