I forgot about this topic lol.
Anyways news:
To all of you out there shouting "MW3 is a copy past of MW2," Glen Schofield, the general manager of Sledgehammer Games, is out to prove you wrong. In
an interview with CVG, he compared the game to a porche's engine.
"I've worked on a lot of engines over my lifetime and spent a lot of time putting graphics in to them and this thing is Porsche," he said, "and what I mean by that is that it is stream-lined, everything in it is perfectly freaking clean. You can tell it's been worked on for years. It's easy to upgrade."
On the original blog post on the CoD wiki, i really have to agree with a commenter on the "copypasta" debate.
Of course the games are going to be similiar. They all have Call of Duty in the title don't they? Pokemon has stayed pretty much the exact same since Gen I and it's still going strong. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Modern Warfare 3 Strike Package Trailer released. It explains the new Pointstreaks system.
Robert Bowling announced that player customization is not returning. This means no face paint, clan tag etches, or emblem editors are going to be shipped with the game. Camouflages and Black Ops stlye Private match customization will return.
It also appears we're gonna get one hell of a holiday season this year. You have MW3 and BF3, as well as Gears of War 3, Rage, Skyrim, A new Assassin's Creed coming out in a very shore timespan. This isn't bad, it's actually good. The gaming industry has not been doing very well since 2008, as everyone turned to Mobile gaming as well as social sites like Facebook.
In other news i lol'd at a coment on the "copy paste" article.
<old spice guy impression> Look at your copy of MW2, now look at your copy of BF2. Now look at the gameplay of BF3 and MW3. What do you see? These games are both equal. Now look up, now look down, now look up, it's november, and you find youself buying both MW3 and BF3. Why? Because they're equally great games. I'm on the internet. <old spice guy impression/>
