my entire state is shrouded in pink... My mom is freaking out. She just came home from the store with big gallon bottles and started storing water... Not sure why, considering that's the problem in the first place...

So is mine, isn't it just wonderful?! Completely shrouded in pink, that is. I'm in New Jersey! Aside from the widespread panic and anticipated destruction (:c) it couldn't get much better than this! We haven't had a storm like this in...well, it feels like forever to me!

I think she is storing water so you can drink it, in case pipe lines are damaged and you guys can't go out for a day or two or something like that. Safety precautions. :o

It would be exciting to sit though a storm like that. The only wild storm I ever sat though was a micro burst in 2001.

Good news for New England: Irene didn't strengthen to a Category 3 hurricane as they originally predicted, which means it will continue to be a Category 2 when it hits the cooler waters south of New England. This will weaken it to a Category 1, or possibly a tropical storm, by the time it makes landfall in Southern New England.

Lies, South curves inland, central New Jersey is stuck out in the ocean, closer to the fiercer winds. You'll be hit first, but certainly not harder. Stop trying to ruin this for me. You're going to live, relax. :C
