Alright.
Shortly after leaving the moon's orbit, a halian warfleet arrived out of warp, directly between the fleet and Cerio.

They immediately began jamming outgoing communications, and armed weapons.

The Hermanian commander realized what was about to happen, and ordered general quarters in the fleet. He formed two battle lines, and a reserve group of corvettes. The Iodine forces would serve as the bulk of the line, since they had more ships.

The commander orders the forward corvettes to attack the lead battleship. They fired their entire complement of missiles before being vaporized by PD lances. All the missiles struck home, but were dissipated by the shield of the battleship.

The commander reorganized his forward line with the reserve corvettes, and ordered all Iodine frigates to pick their targets, and engage. The Hermanian frigates and command ship attacked the battleship. The halians lost a frigate, and the lead battleship's shields were eliminated.

The halian fleet, as one, discharged their plasma munitions and destroyed all the iodine frigates and one hermanian frigate.

At this point, the fleet was in chaos. The corvettes were pulled back to cover the command ship's retreat. The halians launched their strike craft, and destroyed the escorts, albeit with heavy losses. The command ship, now on its own, turned to engage the halian fleet, and fired all its weapons on the lead battleship, crippling three of its plasma batteries. The halians launched missiles and destroyed the command ship. One hermanian frigate survived by hiding behind some nearby wreckage. The halian fleet adjusts its course to intercept Cerio, and moves towards the planet at maximum sublight speed.
Halian Victory, Hermanian/Iodine defeat.
