Author Topic: I'm so desperate to move to the USA.  (Read 14290 times)

Uh if you can't make friends in the UK what makes you think you could come to the USA and become popular instantly? It's pretty bad in the US right now, and every one of your points were blind generalizations. The 4th of July? The forget? It's August. Not only that, but just because you live in bumforget USA doesn't mean you can automatically go to every convention in the country. I'm not trying to shoot your dreams down, but the USA isn't made of solid gold compared to the UK or any other first world country.

In America the standard is having a car, a house, and HD television. Problem?
I heard people are trying to own stuff even though they can't afford it

I kind of agree with the above post in that the USA probably isn't going to be the solution to all your problems, but I wouldn't say it's "bad over here right now". As far as I can tell life is fine in the US at the moment, it depends on where you are.

The US has too much debt

TEXAS

forget YEAH

It was once a country, and it fought a bad ass war.

Do not move to any tropical states
EXP:
-Florida
-Hawaii
Obviously most disasters happen in those states A LOT!
On top of that Hurricane Irene just past by.
New York (Where I came from) is just like a ghetto (depends what city you live in)
Pennsylvania is pretty nice ^^ (Where I live)
I live in Florida and a disaster only happens like every 5 years.

Funny that everything OP mentioned we have here in US too lol

yes it does
You can still be happy without money, but yes, a lot of people think money is everything :I

money can buy temporary happiness
it can't buy permanent happiness...

unless you have a lot of it and can buy lots of stuff to keep you happy

problem?

Dont move near tampa Guys only talk about black ops where I am :P

yes! come on over to the USA, where the economy is amazing and our government is flawless! :D

Either New York or California.

California has the most going for it, I'd say. Mainly because of the beach cities and the Hollywood area. But next to that is New York City in New York. It's a lot smaller than California, but it's got just about as much going on, if not more, in that one city than Hollywood does.

But really, the way you described your school there is pretty much what it's like here too. I'm not sure what a chav is, but I'm guessing it's some type of douche bag.
