Mass drivers are for SPACEship to SPACEship combat, not land-to-ship. They can be used for

Spaceship to Spaceship Combat
Land to Air
Air to Ground

but they're huge so i doubt youll get anything in the air with it

The HASAs are travelling at too high speeds and are too small of targets.

Radar simply detects enemies, and the HASA's designs plus radar jammers prevent them from being detected.
