Anyone know where I can find a wild werewolf? I want lycanthropy but I don't want to do the Companion's ritual if it can be avoided.

I heard some people in Winterhold talking about werewolves you could start there.
And you can avoid the Companion ritual and still get quests from them, but I don't think you can advance in their main questline, just get odd jobs and the like.

But I wonder how that would work, already being a werewolf and then going to them. Do tell me if and when you do it.

I do want to be in the Companions, but first I'd like to actually become a werewolf and also complete the rebellion questline.
That's a good lead, I'll start there. To Winterhold!

You find them in dungeons, either charged or not. If they aren't charged, then you soul trap them.
