As the crow flies Skyrim isn't much larger than Cyrodiil, but all the tall mountains and rolling hills make the province feel much larger than it actually is. Cyrodiil didn't have mountains right in the middle of the province so getting from, say, Cheydinhal to Chorrol takes a shorter time than traveling a distance roughly equal in Skyrim, say, from Dawnstar to Windhelm, because you have to navigate either over or around a mountain range to get there. I like this.

I love the diversity of terrain. Whiterun's area is different from the Reach, which is different from the northern tundra, which is different from the southeast.

Skyrim is stuff. At least for now. loving wagon glitch. First off I'm riding in a wagon in the intro, next I'm in the little village and hit a stone wall, every time, stuck there, even after restarting. Can't play the loving game. HELP.

i have a save right before you create your char after you get off the wagon.
if its possible i could give you the actual file and you could load it.

oh and i just walked from whiterun to markath. very nice walk. even traveling in this game is fun.

Skyrim runs just fine for me on Xbox. No framerate problems, no crashes yet, no glitches, nothing out-of-the-ordinary.

When I first found out about the very notion of having the game take place in the rugged north, I expected nothing but a snowy wasteland dotted with struggling bits of civilization, like a winter Fallout.(Nuclear winter joke lol)
What I got were swamps, pine forests, snowy mountains, fields of nothing but ice and snow along the coast, and vast rolling tundras. How is Bethesda so good at making such beautiful environments?

It seemed like Morrowind was more wasteland-ish or dust/desert-y land (I haven't played much of it). Oblivion was like a forest/plains (Some snow, but not a whole lot), and now Skyrim is Everything and more.

You can steal stuff by putting a basket on their head.

My friend told me about this, I laughed hard.
