thatmap of skyrim is also wrong.
The region was reshaped a bit.

They don't call it The Winking Skeever for nothin' ;)

the only reason I'd get 100 pickpocketing is so I could make everyone in Whiterun naked.

How do you level up pickpocketing? Because I tried to do it and instantly got noticed, even while hidden. I thought as long as I do it while hidden, I shouldn't be instantly noticed... Sorry, my first Elder scrolls game.

Look at the percentage of success rate. Should be any number between 0% and 100%. Lower value and smaller items will have a larger success rate. Later on when your pick pocketing skill is higher your success rate should always be fairly high.

I'm pretty sure it stops at 90%

this is a skyrim map with about 50% of the quick travel locations listed.

A really helpful method for leveling your pickpocketing would be to try to sneak up and pickpocket enemies (bandits are good) before killing them. That way, instead of getting thrown in prison, you just kill them because they aren't citizens/guards :)

If you're practicing on citizens/guards, definitely keep an eye on the percentage and just take things with higher percentages. I'm pretty sure you get XP for successfully planting items in their pockets, too.

If neither of these work, there's a beggar in Riften that will teach you pickpocket XP in exchange for money ( I'm pretty sure you can just steal it back after ;) )

Ah, that sounds good. Didn't notice the percentages... But I'm sure I was just rushing and didn't notice (Even though the game holds while doing it...)

Then again, I remember the person starting to say something negative as I started pickpocketing, which kinda freaked me out into thinking it's not possible at all, at least without some prerequisite first.

When I needed to level up pickpocketing I just trained for a little, got the first perk, and then ran around in the cities pickpocketing nearly everything from everyone.

Easy way to train pickpocketing - join the Dark Brotherhood, get their armor as soon as you go into the sanctuary.
The boots make you silent.

I don't want to join them at all, though. Want to be a good boy. Doesn't joining them at all change some things of the game?

Should I get skyrim or sr3?
