does ice form even do damage?
there's this forgetass fire blood dragon and I can use ice shard or whatever on him but that's not enough, and sure the fire shout does damage but this guy doesn't have a weakness to it and that would make this a lot easier

Ice form is primarily for disabling enemies while fighting the rest.
what's the difference between the higher levels of it and the first one?

Don't rely on shouts.

If you're the fighter type, use a sheild or power attack when the dragon lands to stagger him and deal damage simultaneously. Keep doing this and use things that give you more stamina.

what's the best way to kill dwarven things
like centurions and spiders
Don't rely on shouts.
why not
I use two handed weapons usually so I can't have a magic in the other hand
shouts let me stun them or damage them and so on without having to switch weapons

Because you won't always be able to shout people into submission.

Spiders are really easy.

2 ways to easily kill centurions: Kill them from far away, or get really close and they can't use their steam attack.

I hate when spiders explode.

destruction master race over here.

Conjuration is better.
You can only summon like 5 different things, compared to Oblivion it's nothing.

what about those rolling things?
Because you won't always be able to shout people into submission.
unrelenting force makes them fly off and ragdoll
the only things it doesn't affect are dragons and mammoths, both of which can be rather easily dealt with by other means

what about those rolling things?
I conjure so I usually don't have a problem. But usually you can sidestep their attacks if you practice at it. Also, you can hire a mage named Marcurio in the Riften inn. He will take care of them pretty quickly.

how expensive is he?
I'd be willing to bet it's worth it
although I may have to save up some money

500 gold each time you have to hire him, because you can dismiss him. Apparently he's the most powerful offensive mage follower in the game.

I give him destruction cost reduction, mana, and mana regeneration armor. According to the wiki though, you shouldn't ever give him anything, but he hasn't made any of my stuff disappear.

EDIT: Also, try not to get into fights near regular people because his chain-lighting may arc off and kill them.
