pros and cons, since I have them both.

Skyrim-

dull colors
Extremely boring combat
lasts very long
more customization
much bigger
lots of replay value

Kingdoms of Amalur-

Bright, vivid, beautiful
Tons of ways to fight, multiple attack types, no boring combat
just a BIT of a button masher
big world
not much replay value (but DLC is coming out)
really only 3 player archtypes, but you can mix them (i.e. 1 + 2 or 1 + 3 instead of focusing on directly 1)

Skyrim combat definitely isn't boring. That's probably what they've improved most since Oblivion.
I haven't played Kingdoms of Amalur, but I watched when Totalbiscuit played it. He wasn't far so I can't be sure, but the combat looked really dull and repetetive.

Decided to enchant my weapons plus i found a very good enchanted bow on sale by the blacksmith in Markarth, i also found a book she was looking for to help her assistant because he is a imperial and has hammer problems. She gave me permission to enter all orc holds too.

Here's the weapons i enchanted:

Steel Mace (Superior) > Steel Mace Of Magic (Superior). Absorb 10 points of magicka.
Steel Greatsword (Superior) > Steel Energy Greatsword (Superior). Absorb 10 points of Stamina.
Steel Dagger 2X (Superior) > Steel Blood Dagger 2X (Superior). Absorb 10 points of health.

The bow i brought was this:

Glass Bow Of Binding. If target dies within 7 seconds, fills a soul gem.

Skyrim= Attack attack attack attack attack block hold attack attack attack attack magic attack back away attack attack hold attack

Kingdoms of Amalur= hold attack for special, attack slight pause attack for special, roll out of way, block, secondary weapon fire, block special attack, roll special attack, normal attack, magic, magic, normal attack.

At least in Kingdoms I can stab someone and they will stumble insead of stabbing someone in the face in skyrim and they just keep doing what they're doing lol. Plus, its so much more fast paced

I'm not saying Skyrim's combat is terrible, but it's the one with the repetitive and dull combat if we're comparing the two

KOA is more
Attack, roll, roll, roll, roll, roll, roll, roll, attack, roll, roll, roll, roll, attack, roll, roll, roll, potion, attack, roll, roll.

get good then scrub lol

get good then scrub lol

I am good. Once you get good enough, that's the strategy you'll use to avoid getting hit.

e: stuff I hope I didn't get bananamouth from you

You play weird then. My combat's not repetitive at all.

God dammit, i cant make my mind up what to do with Azura's star, there are 2 options to take it to:

Taking it to Aranea will give you the full resurrection the star but it can only hold white souls which mean creatures only.

Taking it to Nelacar will give you the full resurrection of the star but it will become dark and twisted in color, it can only hold black souls which mean humans only.

Despite the supposed limitations of the Black Star, it actually acts just like a normal black soul gem and is also capable of catching "white" souls. Black Soul Gems are the rarest and most expensive of the soul gems, since all black souls are grand souls, so it's more cost effective to take the black soul-trapping version from Nelacar.

Thanks, i didn't know that for the black star.
Then you don't get the follower though. :/

I'd rather have an unlimited + unrestricted soul gem than some idiot who bumbles around triggering traps and walking in front of my spells.

I had the Origional.

What? she's like, one of the best mages i've ever had as a follower.
