It would be awesome if there were no essentials and instead they would be replaced by new characters or something. Kill the jarl and the next in command is made jarl.

>Kill the Jarl of Whiterun
>His son takes over
oh my yes

It'd have been nice if they just incorporated a lore reason for their inability to die, like a god manifests itself and is just like, "it is not your time Balgruuf."

I thought that's how the game was supposed to be originally ;-; because I read that there was a scenario that if you kill a shopkeeper, someone else takes over.

That's just dumb.

I thought the game would be like this too.
I remember hearing Todd talk about how you could change the economy and other things by your actions. This led me to believe a lot of things, and none of them actually came true.

is there a way to do the vampire quest chain without having to be a vampire?
I have no interest in being a vampire, but I still want to do the quests.

also, that's a funny poll. how many of you played the other elder scrolls? three maybe?

what? most of the regular posters have played morrowind and oblivion.

maybe only three of us played the first 2, and none of us in its time. but this topic isn't just a bunch rpg newbies loving skyrim.

I played the last three

I played Oblivion and Skyrim, and would very much like to give Daggerfall a whirl.

I took the freedom of looking at the poll results

>with friends at lunch
>friends are talking about their favorite race to play as in Skyrim
>proceed to shout out "MROW, IMA KITY" to reference Khajiit
>friend jokingly calls me a furry for picking Khajiit

sooper awkward

>friend jokingly calls me a furry for picking Khajiit

well he's got a point

oh wait I get it now

rpg newbies was the operative word here, I'm an avid roleplayer (mostly singleplayer stuff because I don't really know anyone that I like that would hardcore roleplay some dnd or something.)
I still think skyrim is the best game in the series, mostly because the others weren't that great of roleplaying games in my opinion, skyrim is a fun and easy to access roleplaying game which makes it the best in my opinion.

I came in at Skyrim. :panda:
