Body mods are vulgar and generally are used for everyone that doesn't receive enough play time in their real lives.

It's also not lore-friendly.

Like at all.

Body mods, incredibly common and widely used btw, are incredibly lore friendly. Immersive as well if you use a nude one. If you're beef is with attractive NPC's you can simple apply it to your own specific player race and be a god or goddess among men.

Not to mention the vanilla bodies and textures were absolutely dreadful.

Every body mod I've seen so far is blatantly loveualized.

I like the vanilla textures, they are gritty and ugly and real. Skyrim is a dirty rugged place, people there shouldn't look like supermodels with perfect faces and bodies.
