At least the "we need a new engine" crap is settled now.
How?

Badspot already came in and explained how him and kompressor talked about how "updating" to Torque3D would be a waste. I'm not saying people will stop suggesting it, but at least there is an explanation of why it isn't happening anytime soon.

But there's no engine update...

I never said there was :/
I was talking about how at least now Badspot explained why he isn't going to port the game to Torque3D, like how some people continue to suggest.

What is so cool about Torque 3d as opposed to the torque blockland already uses?

If it would help the downright poop vehicle collision and small player collision then I'm all for it.

Not much apparently.

Apparently better graphics for a building game means a lot to some people.

I just build something, convert it with Zack0Wack0's Python script, and render it in Blender. Good enough for me.

I was under the impression that blockland was running on a modified version of Torque Engine. Is it possible to modify the engine further? Or would that just be a waste of time.

It is, it's basically it's own engine with all the modifications.

Modifying it further, I'm not sure. There's only so much you can do.

The launcher is a minimal program designed to be as small and fast as possible.  Loading a 3D scene would take as long as loading a map in the regular game.

Ohhhhh.

No, I was just suggesting a simple picture. Image. PNG.

The background for the launcher is probably going to be with the rest of the UI files.

If it's run from an exe, it might be within the exe itself.

I'm running multiple servers under one user and I'm afraid I'm going to run into trouble.
:panda: So sad

Looks like it is a torque app, the cursor is the default torque one, and RomShelf, another "launcher" by Badspot, was a torque app too.
