I don't have an AMD Processor, so I guess I will choose the GeForce. Where should I buy it? Newegg, Amazon, or local retailer?

Like 5 minutes with HDD. God damn filled it up to 50Gb of space
Ft, any ideas on how to make it boot faster?

Trash apps need to be deleted. I get super fast load times because of SSD, which I would highly recommend getting.

Turn programs that open on boot.

No one will buy that at $700 considering you can get better PCs that are new for a similar price.

i don't think you get

that everyone loving does that

forget

I SENT THIS LAPTOP TO HP TO GET IT FIXED, AFTER CHARGING ME 300 DOLLARS THEY SENT IT BACK AND NOT TWO WEEKS LATER, MY SCREEN IS HEAVILY TINTED GREEN.

LAST THING FROM HP I WILL EVER BUY.

ALL OF MY RAGE.
better then:
AMD display driver has stopped responding and has recovered.
or even a BSOD saying that the driver failed to recover.

there's a scar on the screen, it's an eyesore but not very noticable.
HP customer support is like geek squad, they claim non existant issues and they TRY to make it real. except that they don't claim it.
so more $$$ to HP.

HP laptops are specifically designed to fail and that's why i didn't buy one.

when my brother got my laptop...
let's just say getting this acer is the best decision i ever made although the HP laptops have better keyboards.
bad feeling touch pad on the HP through 2 days of use, not getting better, just me though.
display driver keeps failing, even through the newer drivers.
another good thing is that the HP COMPUTERS HAVE A BIOS THAT I COULD SWITCH TO FIXED GRAPHICS ON!!!!!
where as the acer does not and i need to flash to a modded bios.

only problem i had with the acer were fixed with restarts.
one being the webcam driver failed to dismount or something and crashed me.
other where the fan failed to continue running and made the laptop hot, still better then the HPs heat lol.

oh yeah that reminds me...
the HP computer heats up like a mother forgeter where as the acer generates some heat under gaming conditions, virtually no heat at all under idle, it's a high profile card vs a low profile card so it's stupid to compare.

in other words, i am glad i didn't get a stuffty HP.

Guys
so i found this drive, which is low price and has lots of good reviews, but there are some people complaining about it failing after i year

You linked the exact same thing twice

my brother has an older model of the samsung drive
has power on hours of ~1.2 years running smooth 163MB/s sequential read

If you use the promo codes, the first one is $75 and the second is $100
They're both 4-egg products, not stellar. The more expensive one has faster read/write speeds
It's your choice, both have pros and cons

windows 8 looks like a sloppy pile of stuff.

windows server 2012 actually looks very usable and great.

wow, microsoft spent their time on the servers i think they forgot the actual OS.

Boot times anyone?

6 seconds with applications.
Avasts a bitch and extends it by a bunch.

I have like 20 seconds with an HDD, which is pretty awesome
With avast
I only have like 150 gb on it though right now, could be why

Second one. Heard it is incredibly reliable, has faster R/W speeds and has a huge warranty. I think it's like 5 years. It's worth spending the extra bucks I think.
