what the hell happened here, why has the price suddenly doubled or so elsewhere?
I was looking at a $60 1TB HDD not too long ago, and now it is up to $130. Should I expect it to come back down soon? :c

Floods that made the factories close.

In terms of laptops, what would you guys recommend? I'm looking for fairly high specs as long as the laptop is under $800 or so. Someone I know recommended me this one, and at first glance it has pretty good specs (I think so, anyway) but there have been some bad reviews about frequent blue screening and some display issues, but the average rating is high. Does anyone have any laptops that they would recommend, or alternatively, if anyone has that laptop and what they think about it.

Also, I know Black Friday/Cyber Monday is soon, and I plan or purchasing a computer then.

Totally forgot about cyber monday. I could finally get new RAM.

Catylist Control Center is borked again. I wonder if its related to my already existing problem or not.

Completely. That's the entire problem.

MSI make some of the best laptops, and besides, BSODs are related to the hard drive installation (how/what people install on the OS) and are not really anything to do with compatible parts.
Also, I'll pick out something on black friday so I can take the sale price in to consideration.
Also also, this used to be $700:

But they stopped making it for some abstract reason. Amazing specs.

Whats weird is that CCC.exe is running but nothing comes up, no splash or anything.

Found an stand alone download for CCC, trying it out.

Urgent Question Get.

Do most laptops have the ability to be overclocked? I am wanting more than 1GHz CPU.

That is fixable.
Didn't I tell you that method?
Clean out the assembly?

That's exactly the fix. You must be doing something wrong if it doesn't work.

Alright, cool, thanks for the feedback. I'm probably going to search more vigorously when it's close to Black Friday, but so far that laptop looks like my best bet.

I did your method along with the CCC download. It looks like it worked.

It worked. Holy stuff.

You're a life saver, finally I can play games again.
