Don't upgrade it, and buy a new computer.

It like 2003 pc no stuff it bad.
I've got a 2004 PC that can run L4D2 on max detail at playable framerates.
There's no excuses for that computer, sorry.
The CPU isn't that bad, but the GPU, wow.

That is an UNBELIEVABLY bad computer! Holy stuff!
You really can't upgrade that. Please just save for a new one :P

My 04 PC runs CS:S at max detail with 80fps average, while in a full server.

The difference between the computer he bought in 2004 and the one you bought in 2004 is that he didn't pay for a pile of stuff.

Using years to judge a computer is completely inaccurate.  You can have a computer from 2005 that can still run decently nice.

My parents bought it, used it until '07/08, then gave it to me in '09.

I'm saving up money for the $400 worth of parts.

Thanks for that, but, could it run games like BF3? im trying to get a more high end gaming build

lol of course, the 6870 can run BF3 max just fine. In fact, my friend ran BF3 max with some stuttering but still fully playable at around 30FPS on 1080p on his 5770 lol.

Given the floods in Thailand, hard drives are currently about double price, and that is extremely cheap for a 7200RPM 500GB HDD.
