I'm trying to do the 400 dollar build, but some of the parts are out of stock on Newegg. I need to know if they're all on the Fry's site, because that's our local electronics store. Could anyone PM me the Fry's links, if they're there?

The Nvidia equivalent is cheaper but also doesn't work as well.
I've just read a hell of a lot of reviews/troubleshooting about ATI/intel problems. I'd be willing to pay more for an nvidia card of equal quality.

A new gpu deffinately,

Everything else is stellar, whats the wattage on your psu?
I have this GPU, and I can run Crysis maxed out with 60 fps, and ~40 in battles.

Don't listen to that crap. AMD cards work perfectly with Intel. And if there are problems, there are similar problems for AMD boards, and Nvidia cards.

Nvidia and AMD work the same for Intel.

If AMD actually wanted to compete against Intel with their cards, they would've fully dropped support for Intel boards.

How would this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121425 size up to the ati one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150524 )?

The ATI is better, not by a lot, but well worth the price.

Especially at higher resolutions.

However, the Nvidia is better if you plan on overclocking, as you can go past GTX 570 speeds if you overclock enough.

Luckily, that card has a great heatsink. So, in the end, go for the 560 ti.

I don't think it would make too much of a difference, but the GTX 560 is better. For the same price, go for the nVidia.

You're actually wrong, nVidia is not always better

The Nvidia card is not better in terms of performance, but has a better heatsink for overclocking. Based on what I've heard, you can OC a 560 Ti to a 570 if you go far enough.

Unsure about the 6970, correct me if I'm wrong.

I know. I have an AMD cpu and GPU.

I just prefer Nvidia and Intel for quality IMO.

Happy with my Nvidia cards and my Intel processors.

It's fine if people think Nvidia and Intel are good. But please don't say that one works better than the other on each platform.

An AMD card will have the same performance on either an Intel or AMD build.

And same with Nvidia, Nvidia doesn't only work well with Intel.

Just putting this out.

um, I was just asking of those two cards specifically which is better - not NVIDIA VS AMD FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

But, I'm also saying it as I've had a lot of people tell me that AMD cards work better on AMD systems rather than Intel systems. Which is not true.

well it's true - that's what I've heard. again,  I was just asking of those two cards specifically which is better - not NVIDIA VS AMD FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT. i was under the impression that AMD did not integrate well with intel.

so - which gpu is better?  :cookieMonster:

Luckily, that card has a great heatsink. So, in the end, if you have the time and patience to overclock then you could get good results. If you just want a good stock performance card get a 6950. Really, either one will be good. Hell, a 6870 would be good too, only 5 FPS slower than a GTX 560 Ti and 6950, that too when it's already running over 40FPS.
