Yeah, I told him to check out HP, but he didn't trust me. He said that they didn't last very long. His computer is his work computer, so it doesn't need to be high-end or anything.

Question, can I plug a phone line directly into my PC through the LAN port, or does it have to be a Ethernet cable? If so, then would I have to get another router?

But it needs to be good quality and reliable then?
Worst thing you could do would be get a Dell. Get an Asus or something. Or if he wants super reliable, he can fork out for a Falcon Northwest.

No.
You can get an ethernet > modem > line out adapter though for whatever reason.

Lulz, AA kills FPS on BF3.

Wthout AA = Always 60FPS
WIth 2x AA = 45 - 50FPS
With 4x AA = 35 - 40FPS

This is my 6870 on 1440x900, everything else maxed.

Not bad. Peak temps?
Watch out for those artifacts when you OC the memory too far.

Secretly I pray that when I buy a power strip and it fails to save my power-consuming products, the company will reimburse me with their $10,000 warranty thing.

Then I'll just build the best loving thing ever.

65 is the maximum, usually 55C. This is full load BTW.

Also, sadly i had lock-ups and crashes at those settings, so I lowered to 950 and 1100. TIps?
