i'll buy a raspberry pi

no don't, I call it

those things are gonna sell like hotcakes and I want one before the first batch vanishes

Erm, any help?

The screen has been like this for a while now.

EDIT: If you think it's a driver problem, here's my DxDiag for the screen.
Dxdiag is irrelevant, you're not experiencing a dying GPU.
Are you using a laptop screen or a monitor?

Looks like your screen is broken. Does is it like this as soon as you boot?

His screen is necessarily not broken. It could be a loose cord on the inside. The same issue could be seen with any other laptop should I tug on the monitor cord a bit.

Sure looks like it, I've broken a couple screens in my time.

I meant for the results. He could have taken a screenshot of the number in 3D mark 11 instead of filming the screen o_o
He wanted to talk about how amazing and epic it was and that AMD kicked nVidias ass.

I just ran a benchmark, and I have some questions.

Why is it saying my system performs poorly compared to other systems with similar specs?
Why is my RAM only running at 667 MHz? Is that normal?
It is a little slower than usual, but do remember that most people do actually OC their GPU.
Also, check your RAM speed in your BIOS.

Does anyone know of a good gaming laptop preferable under $700?

Will I have better performance in games if I switch from DDR2 800 RAM to DDR3 1600?
I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Eh, kinda. Not really.
But DDR3 requires different DIMM slots, be careful.

Doesn't appear to be a driver problem, but that's a good place to start.
I'm going to need the first tab as well so I know what OS you are running. Thanks.

You sure about that? GPU artifacts can appear in many ways.

Also, Athlon IIs are just Phenom IIs without L3 cache.

Also, check your RAM speed in your BIOS.

I enabled XMP and it says something like 1800MHz

still confused why the benchmark only reads 667

But that L3 makes a difference.

But that L3 makes a difference.
Yeah, but not a dealbreaker. Athlon IIs are great for the price.

Odd.
Download CPUID PC Wizard and tell me what it says.

what information do you require? not sure what to do now that I've installed it

on another note, PC wizard says my processor's highest multiplier is 34, and it states "yes" next to locked

this is not true because it's an i7-2600k. how accurate is this program? or am I doing something wrong?

Gaming computer conversation with dad: "How about an iMac?"
He's the one that said that btw

Okay I found where memory was in PC Wizard.

This is my RAM. Is it supposed to report 667 MHz in PC Wizard?

Maybe it's running at 667MHz.
