Can anyone dig up some info about my motherboard? The user manual that came with this PC didn't tell me what sort of RAM configuration it uses, I need to know what the maximum speed is on it's RAM slots.
It's a stock Dell mobo, Dell Inc. 04GJJT model.

Currently I have 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (7-7-7-20) according to Speccy, but it doesn't tell me what the max clock speed is :I

when i run dxdiag it says error: problem getting extra sound info
page loss

My Dad's stuffbox only supports up to like 96kb/s sound.
what
sound is usually measured in hertz, how the forget are you getting kilobytes out of it?

Look up the documentation on the Dell website.

Thug life.

I've got a dedicated sound card in my PCI slot. It's kind of an old one but it was $100 back in the day.
Soundblaster Live! 24-bit. I don't know which model it is though. :3

I can't seem to tell, but I would guess it would be 1333 or maybe 1066.

i think i saw one of those in best buy it had a forgetton of dust on it  :cookieMonster:

Already done it, three times, Dell is rather stingy with specification details as far as I could see.
Feel free to prove me wrong though, I'll admit that I'm a blind-ass moron if you can

Dell wont give out any information on this motherboard. Word on the internet is the processor fries the motherboard. AMD says this might not be true and I tend to believe it because Dell will not give out information as to what sensors are installed or what they relate to. They just wont give out this information. I get that they have made a custom motherboard but they wont give simple information out as to what they go to.

It doesn't fry it unless you're a moron who touches the inside, I've spoken with guys who've owned the same Dell model as me for years without a problem.
Of course, replacing the stock PSU like I did last week can't hurt :V

Yeah, I'd go with it being 1600 but to be safe I'd do 1333.

What about those numbers in brackets next to the hertz rate?

I need an AMD Radeon HD 6990.
I also need a car.
Which one should I get?

You guys really should mention that you need an optical drive and an OS. As stupid as that seems.

Now I have to spend another hundred dollars. :(

Optical drives are cheap, lol.  OSes, not as much...
